About Silver Lining Psychology

Dr. Natasha AndersonHello, my name is Dr. Natasha Anderson. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, and I’m passionate about helping children and their parent(s) learn how to manage the difficult obstacles that can present when children are having trouble with self-regulation, anxiety, focus and attention, and/or mood. The majority of my practice focuses on parent coaching and helping children learn ways to manage their behaviors and big feelings. I also do a lot of work with anxiety. My approach is collaborative. I love meeting new families and individuals and figuring out a plan together that everyone agrees will be the most helpful.

Answering some of your common questions.

Mental health counseling is a type of therapy that focuses on treating mental health conditions and improving overall mental well-being. It is provided by licensed mental health professionals, such as psychologists, therapists, and counselors.

Anyone who is struggling with mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, or stress, can benefit from mental health counseling. It can also be helpful for individuals who want to improve their overall mental well-being or better understand and manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

During mental health counseling, individuals work with their therapist to identify the underlying causes of their mental health issues and develop strategies to cope with them. This may involve discussing difficult emotions and experiences, learning new coping mechanisms, and setting goals for improvement.

Some benefits of mental health counseling include developing healthier ways of thinking and behaving, improving relationships with others, and leading happier, more fulfilling lives. Mental health counseling can also help individuals better understand and manage their mental health conditions, leading to improved mental well-being.
